I was really happy with the Leilon post and I think I might be making much more use of the ruins of Leilon in my own game than I was previously intending. Hmmm, I might even use Sceptre Tower that way in my next game. As for Sceptre Tower, it will probably work much better in 5E and I think it would make a great location in the River District which is also known as the Tower District because of certain towers that exist there. Keep on the Shadowfell is still legally available for free from the WotC website. If you can, grab the DDi adventure Shards of Selûne which I used with tremendous success as the framework for levels 3-8 of my current game. I think there were a couple of other ideas in there which I have also stolen. Lost Crown is not a very good adventure for a campaign but I simply love the episode where the PCs get flushed and also fight kraken tentacles. Gates of Neverdeath is great for the cover art - you can find it online - and that's about it. I could definitely have fun with them in my game! BTW, my current crew in 4E includes a Neverwinter Noble (a human thaneborn barbarian) and a Dead Rat Deserter (half-elf valorous bard who keeps showing how awesome bards can be in 4E). Hopefully there are things I an glean from them, as well. I have Scepter Tower of the Spellgaurd and Lost Mines of Phandelver as well, but have not gotten a chance to read them yet. I am pretty sure I will have Thayan Slavers be responsible for the kidnappings mentioned in the Evils of Haranshire book.I haven't decided how aware the Thayans are of just how their victims are being used by the Aboleths. ![]() Hoping to somehow tie Keep on the Shadowfell with the Shard of Night.but won't know how that will work until I actually get a copy of H1. So far I think I can replace the Orcs below the world in Night Below with the Many Arrows orcs that have taken up residence in the city. I need to get a copy of Keep on Shadowfell, and I am still pouring through the Neverwinter book. So, I plan on using them as a "what has gone before." Once I have a full group set up, I will use them as a convenient background story tying all the characters backgrounds together. Neverdeath is a railroad plain and simple and Lost Crown feels like an disconnected series of encounters. I read Gates of Neverdeath and Lost Crown of Neverwinter as well. ![]() So far I have a Human Paladin (Neverwinter Noble), Tiefling Warlock (Devil's Pawn), and Half-elf Rogue (Dead Rat Deserter). Still waiting to get a couple more before I begin the campaign.
